officially "homeless"...

Everything (most everything) is in storage...cram-packed, but its in there!  We closed on
the sale of our house Thursday. Whew... we are now mortgage free... hahahaha.  At least
for a few weeks anyway.
A young college girl is now the proud owner of our former house.  It was hard to leave
that house as we have really put a lot into it.  I'm sure she's busy right now painting and
tearing down wallpaper and replacing carpet and tile.  Oh well...
We are really looking forward to our new house being completed and I'm sure Ernie's
sister, Kathy, is looking forward to our move out day as much as we are.  We are taking
up residence in her room and the kiddos are in the guest bedroom.  Sorry Kathy.  Soon
you'll have your territory back.
The new house is coming right along.  We should have brick this week.  MAYBE.  It's late
in the game for brick, but they were delayed on another house because of all the rain.  So
hopefully they'll get to us this week, if not for sure next week.
Check the kiddo's pages to see what they have been up to.  Hope everyone is having a
great summer.

* A note on the picture above... while surfing the internet as I
sometimes do at work, I came across this picture. It's from the
archives at consumerreports.com. They had reviewed perms in 1938.
Here's what the caption said under the picture:
" Permanents, 1938
Getting a permanent wave is "almost a national pastime" and the price
has dropped to a dollar. But beware of shops that cut corners: "The
felt pads between the curlers and her head . . . can be excellent
carriers of scalp disease."
